Hello, my name is Brad and I am addicted to having multiple clipboards.
I can't help myself. I don't remember exactly when it started, but I vaguely remember how it happened. There was some sort of promotion or sale, and I ended up with a free copy of one of the more popular clipboard managers out there. I didn't use it at first, but once I got the hang of it, I was hooked. I loved that my computer remembered the last hundred things I copied. It was so liberating. I could copy, copy, copy to my heart's delight with nary a thought to losing my precious memories. Er... memory. Random access memory, to be exact. And to top it all, the history stayed there between restarts. So I could copy something, restart my computer, and still paste the same thing. Those were good days.
Trying Times
But alas, progress comes at a price. Times change, and operating systems change, and things stop being compatible, and sometimes they want to charge for a minor point upgrade just because you got a freebie a couple years back. And suddenly, for the same functionality you had before, you have to pay.
