The onslaught of new reporting solutions for REALbasic continues. In its latest newsletter, REAL Software announced they are working on built-in reports for REALbasic itself (see Figure 1). This is very exciting, but when this will be available is a mystery for the time being.
Additionally, another new product, TurboReports, has recently been announced.
This time we'll be looking at Einhugur Reports (http://www.einhugur.com/EinhugurReports/), which are currently still in public alpha testing.
A Quick Overview
Einhugur Reports is still in an early development phase. Currently it is at version 1.0, Alpha 2 and it requires many of the existing Einhugur plugins and controls.
Unfortunately, there hasn't been much progress on this in the last few months (the last update is from April 2009), but I still think it has a lot of potential (see Figure 2).
Einhugur Reports has some neat features, including:
Report Designer
Expression Engine
Report Elements (Text, Line, Image)
Integrating with REALbasic
