Excerpt of article text...
At REAL World 2007, Keith DeLong gave a couple presentations on reporting with REALbasic. In those presentations he also debuted a free, open-source framework. You can find this information at his REALbasic web site:

Keith has been kind enough to post both the source code to the framework and PDFs of his presentation slides. He didn't give his framework a formal name, but for this column I'll be referring to it as RPF (Report Printing Framework).
Framework Examples
RPF is a way to create reports programmatically using REALbasic. There is no designer and no way to preview the report other than running it.
If you download the code and run the sample project, Report Printing Demo II.rbp, you'll see that is capable of creating several different types of reports. in particular, the demo has the following samples: Column Report, Header/Footer Report, Simple Font Report, and Margin Border Test.
Figure 1 shows an excerpt of the Header/Footer Report. As you can see it is a very sharp looking report with multiple columns, fonts, and headers.
