Excerpt of article text...
27th Precinct, 1:15 pm
Detective Hank Marsh sat down at his desk. "What a morning... I don't think I've even sat down yet today." He set his briefcase down on the desk and opened it.
Detective Charlie Sanders was already sitting. "I hear that." He saw something furry sticking out of the side of Marsh's briefcase. "What you got there, Hank?"
Marsh grinned and held up a purple stuffed doll. "Oh, this? This here's Telly Monster." His voice turned gruff as he shook the doll. "I'm from Sesame Street!"
Sanders laughed. "Your daughter got to your briefcase again, eh?"
"I'm just glad she didn't sneak another peanut butter and jelly sandwich in here," Marsh chuckled as he put the doll back in and closed the briefcase.
Sergeant Harvey Durrant walked up. "I need you boys over in interrogation... we've got a case of fraud to look in to."
Marsh and Sanders stood up. "Fraud? Isn't that on Larson's new beat?"
"Yeah, but he's undercover again right now," Durrant replied, "and Hayes is out sick. See what you can do, huh?"
