Excerpt of article text...

For people who aren't familiar with your company, tell us about your company and its products.

AltaPoint was founded in 1996. We currently have a user base of over 8,000 customers throughout the U.S. and several foreign countries. Our products include software solutions for the medical, dental, chiropractic, vision, and veterinary markets. These products are sold and supported through a network of over 200 independent, certified consultants.

How did you get into that market? What's your business and education background?

AltaPoint is actually my second software company. The first was Lytec Systems, that I started in 1989. Lytec is also a medical software company that I sold to National Data Corporation in 1996.

As far as my personal background, I have a BS in Finance and an MBA. Software development, however, has always been a passion for me.

Are all your products written in REALbasic?

We currently have products that are written in REALbasic, Borland Delphi, Borland C++ Builder, and Metrowerks C. It is our plan however to transition most of our product line to REALbasic.
