Excerpt of article text...

As the holiday celebrations come to a close and we bid a warm welcome to 2007, the year of the Progress Bar, it seems only fitting that we take a step back and -- huh? What's that? Yes, I said the year of the Progress Bar. You mean to tell me you've never heard of the ancient system which assigns an interface element to each year in a grand cycle that allows each and every soul to find their place in the universe? Well, then, I'm going to set aside the original topic I was going to write about, "How to design a program guaranteed to net $10,000 the first month," so that you, too, can take part in this timeless wisdom.

You know the drill here: find the year in which you were born, and let the imparting of ancient knowledge begin.

The Image Well

1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000

You are a visual learner and love art. You have a tendency to hoard things, and dream of owning a storage rental business. You have kleptomaniacal tendencies, but do not steal; if someone gives you something, you never throw it away. You have a photographic memory. You volunteer to be a poll worker whenever possible, but only if the precinct is using paper ballots and you get to man the ballot box. You always offer to hold other people's things for them. You love cameras. You will willingly take pictures of random objects to use up a roll of film, just you can get the pictures developed for your album. Avoid Disclosure Triangles and Tab Panels; seek companionship from a Group Box or Progress Wheel.
