Excerpt of article text...

The "Genius" Bar, 2405 7th Street, 6:01 pm

"Gentlemen! Your usual, I'm assuming?"

The detectives sat down. "You know it, Jimmy." The bartender brought a diet soda and iced tea.

"What brings you two down here today?"

"Thirst," replied Sanders, taking a gulp. "Those salty chips get me every time."

The bartender noticed Sanders' undercover outfit. "You look downright respectable, Charlie. You guys undercover this week?"

"Just today. We're trying to find Larson; he's scoping out the 'Consecrated Guardians of Infinity'" -- he rolled his eyes -- "out on Route 41. You know anything about them?"

"That's them."

"They come in now and then, but they don't say much. I never get nosy with them, but I have noticed something a little weird..."

Marsh looked up. "What's that?"

"Well, I had a guy in here fishing for some change and he spilled everything in his pocket out on the bar, looking for a quarter. It was just your usual stuff, keys and whatnot, except for one thing -- a cookie in a plastic bag."
