Excerpt of article text...

If you are working with SQL, you really need a good tool to let you easily create tables, edit data, and do all the database-related tasks that would be an enormous chore if they had to be done by writing REALbasic code. The built-in SQL tool that comes with REALbasic is very basic and not sufficient for most uses since you have to add a database to your project before you can look at any of its data.

When working with the REALbasic Database engine, there are currently two SQL tools that work with REALbasic 5.5 databases: REAL SQL and SQLVue. When working with the popular alternative SQLite, you can choose SQLiteManager.

REAL SQL 1.1

REAL SQL is made by Freak Software, also known as Seth Willits. Seth is a former REALbasic Developer columnist and currently writes the REALbasic section of the ResExcellence web site. REAL SQL is free and should be in every REALbasic developer's toolbox. It is easy to use and has several useful features, such as:

Table and Field modification

Connection to more than one database at a time
