Happy Birthday To Me
While REALbasic Developer rarely indulges in self-congratulations, I hope you don't mind if we celebrate a little with this issue, as it marks the beginning of our third year of publishing!
Yes, RBD has turned two years old and I can scarcely believe it myself. Children sure grow up fast when you aren't watching, don't they? It seems like only a few weeks ago I was laying the foundation to launch this publication, and now we've published a dozen issues and over 300 articles!
In that time, REALbasic has gone from a Mac-only product to running under Windows and supporting compiling for Linux. When we launched, Mac OS X was an infant, with REALbasic one of the first applications to run on the new operating system. Much has changed, both in the real world and within REALbasic, and there are more changes on the horizon.
From the first annual REALbasic users conference last March, to new versions of REALbasic and new products in the REALbasic family, this next year promises to be an exciting time in the life of a REALbasic programmer. You can count on REALbasic Developer to guide you on that journey!
All of us here at RBD thank you for your support, encouragement, and belief. This magazine wouldn't exist without you. Thanks to all of our writers and contributors as well. Congratulations to everyone involved.

William H. Murray and Chris H. Pappas are back with Part Two of their amazing series on Vernier's Labpro, this time focusing on how to get data out.
Plus we've got a powerful collection of cool features: Joe Strout shows how to create command-line RB programs, Charles Yeomans explains Sheet programming, and Brady Duga demonstrates how to easily create your own server in REALbasic!
If that weren't enough, we still have all our standard columns, though Thomas Reed has decided to no longer write the Advanced Techniques column (he'll continue with Algorithms, however).
