Excerpt of article text...
Q: Now that Apple has released WebKit for Cocoa and Carbon developers, can REALbasic be used to create a web browser?
Yes. MonkeyBread Software's MBS Plugin for REALbasic has this ability and actually can go about it in one of two ways. You can either create a WebView control which you can embed into any REALbasic window, or you can have the plugin create a separate window on its own which contains the view. The reason for this is actually because of REALbasic's limitations when it comes to custom controls. Speaking from experience, implementing WebKit in REALbasic as a plugin is pretty difficult and has a lot of drawbacks. I don't mean to bring down the MBS plugin at all because it's REALbasic's issue, but it's difficult when using the control method and limited when using the windowed version (which works best). So while technically you can create a web browser in REALbasic, it's not exactly up to snuff for creating a real contender in the browser wars. However, do check it out because it is pretty cool.
