First, why don't you tell us a little about yourself and your company.
I actually started out as an attorney, graduating from law school in 1984. I practiced for almost 10 years, and never really enjoyed it. I really got into computers, and for one case I was working on the other attorney was a Mac fanatic and insisted that I use a Mac. He lent me a 512k.
At first I thought it was silly, with the trash can and such. For about a week I missed the old command lines.
Then, I suddenly got hooked, and realized that the Mac was truly an innovative, creative, and extremely powerful little machine. Of course, back then, there was no hard drive, and I was still swapping disks.
But, anyway, I really got into it and started to get involved with my local user group, Macs of Marin. I eventually became President of the user group, and I met a bunch of developers. One was starting a company and asked if I wanted to join as General Counsel and do any other odd jobs that came around.
